The Mazda CX-9 made its debutin the year 2016, it has been representing the latest design and technology take of its brand, speaking the same language that promotes the idea that a car should work as an extension of the driver’s own body united as one.
The 2020 model year of Mazda CX-9 has also trickled down all the traits and heritage of its brand through its dynamic lineup.
Though the kind of updates done on this model are small, the new Mazda CX-9 is expected to be a better car than its predecessor.

From the outside, the 2020 Mazda CX-9 might not bring with it any significant changes continuing almost everything from its 2019 model.
Hence, the 2020 Mazda CX-9 is expected to look almost identical to its existing model, that still looks fresh from every angle.
Inside, the new 2020 model of CX-9 is probably going to look surprisingly luxurious, and things will no doubt go even better, for those who are ready to climb up to the Signature trim level.
The 2019 model of Mazda CX-9 already got a bigger change by adding Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with the installation of a 360-degree camera to stay ahead of its competitors.
Apart from maintaining all these aspects in new 2020 model, we expect more features to be available as standard even on the base trim, if that does not sound too much demanding.
Will it be More Powerful?
It will be not fair to expect any changes under the hood of the 2020 Mazda CX-9, as the current 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is already an excellent performer on the road making 250 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
But looking at other brands that are now more inclined to include a greener option, we expect a bit of same initiative taken by Mazda who is also doing the same for all its other model series, by introducing its new SkyActiv-X engine that will increase the fuel efficiency count with its effective technology.
The 2019 model year of Mazda CX-9 is currently enjoying the status as an IIHS Top Safety Pick, that was primarily earned because of its strong body and a stable platform, that could make all the advanced safety tech work most effectively.
However features like automatic emergency braking, was offered as an available option on the 2019 Mazda CX-9 which is now expected to be standardized for the 2020 edition of the CX-9 lineup.
The current edition of Mazda CX-9 needs you to be subscribed to the i-Activsense Package to enable features like a Power Driver’s Seat, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and some more.
But for 2020 we expect there to be some changes in these packages by allowing some basic safety features to be installed as the standard ones.
